OrdiFi's architecture is a sophisticated blend of three core components:
1. BTC Network as the Security Layer: At the base is the Bitcoin network, renowned for its robust security. It acts as the foundation, anchoring the integrity and safety of assets within the OrdiSwap ecosystem.
2. RGB Layer for Smart Contracts: Built upon this is the RGB layer, which introduces smart contract functionality and computable programming capabilities. This layer facilitates the discovery and tokenization of assets, converting them into RGB assets that are more convenient for trade and computation within the network. It essentially transforms the RGB layer into a comprehensive smart contract execution network.
3. Lightning Network for Rapid Settlement: RGB layer is encapsulating the Lightning Network, which enables swift asset settlements. This layer accelerates transaction speeds, making asset exchange almost instantaneous.
These components work in synergy to create a decentralized finance platform that is secure, computationally powerful, and fast. The RGB layer's macro smart contracts handle complex operations, while commitments tied to each asset guarantee ownership and the right for users to unlock these assets, thus protecting their security on the foundational Bitcoin layer. This innovative approach leverages the best features of each technology—security from Bitcoin, smart contract flexibility from RGB, and speed from the Lightning Network—to provide a seamless and efficient transactional experience for users engaging in swaps and various other transactions.
